Spring Programming
The Spring season starts on Friday, March 7th and runs for 8 weeks.
We have programming at 7 different locations for these classes, and we need volunteers like you to make sure that classes are safe and fun for all participants!
The Details:
- The deadline to sign up as a volunteer is Wednesday, March 5th
- Volunteers must be compliant with their background check, Safesport training, and Assistant Coach Training by the deadline.
- Classes take place Monday-Saturday each week.
- Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks.
- Junior coaches (14-17 years old) are eligible to volunteer for: 5&6 year old and 7-9 year old classes.

Teach the Teachers
Whether you’re a lifelong golfer or a new volunteer who has never played golf before, we can all stand to learn more about how to teach the game of golf! We’re offering new sessions called “Teach the Teachers” where our Director of Instruction will take you through tips and techniques for teaching the intricacies of golf to First Tee participants.
Upcoming Sessions at FTGC Learning Center at Pineville:
- Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, February 5th at 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, February 19th at 6:00 PM

Interested in more training?
Starting this year, all volunteers must complete the Assistant Coach Training (ACT) before they volunteer with a class. Email Merritt Redden to receive the links for the ACT.
We also have two upcoming Level 1 Training opportunities in person at the FTGC Learning Center at Pineville!
