FCA Golf Game Day Clinic

When:  Tuesday, May 2nd
  • Suggested arrival time in parking lot is 7:00am to catch a tournament shuttle bus to the course
  • 7:30am check in at Quail Hollow Club
  • 8:15am participants walk the front 9
  • 11:00-11:30am Q&A with players
Where: Quail Hollow Club
Who: First Tee – Greater Charlotte participants (between the ages of 12-18) are welcome to attend and an adult chaperone

Please note: Participants must have an adult chaperone attend with them. If two or more participants are attending from the same family, one chaperone may attend. The chaperone must register as well.

What: Walk alongside and interact with PGA Tour players as they play a practice round followed by an exclusive time of Q&A, photo, and autograph opportunities. All participants will receive a custom GAMEDAY caddie bib and a chance to win some other goodies from FCA!

Caddie Day

When:  Wednesday, May 3rd (9:30am – 6:00pm)
  • 9:30-10:00am: Participants meet at First Tee – Greater Charlotte Learning Center at Pineville (10401 Cadillac Street, Pineville NC)
  • 10:00am: Breakfast provided (If you have not arrived before breakfast at 10am, you will not be able to attend)
  • 10:30am : Depart for Quail Hollow Club
  • 12pm-3pm : Caddie Day event and lunch
  • 3:45pm: Participants walk to driving range
  • 4:00pm: Succeeding Together Event on driving range
  • 5:45pm: Depart Quail Hollow Club for First Tee – Greater Charlotte Learning Center at Pineville
  • 6:00pm: Parent/Guardian pick-up participant(s) at First Tee – Greater Charlotte Learning Center at Pineville
Where: Quail Hollow Club
Who: First Tee – Greater Charlotte participants (ages 12 and up)

Please Note: Participants must have been active in either Fall 2022, Winter 2023 AND/OR Spring 2023 programs to participate.

What: Participants ages 12 and older are invited to caddie inside the ropes during Wednesday’s Pro-Am at The Wells Fargo Championship. Participants will be located at holes No. 2 and No. 17. The participants will await the arrival of the PGA TOUR players as each group makes their way to tee box. Participants will then relieve the Tour player’s caddie and will take over caddying responsibilities for that hole and walk along-side the player and his group. In prior years, this event has been great fun and a wonderful learning opportunity – some participants even got the chance to putt or select clubs for the players!
Following their time caddying, participants will be treated to a late lunch overlooking the 18th green. After lunch, the group will make it’s way to the driving range to participate in the Succeeding Together Clinic with PGA Tour Players (timeline outlined above).
First Tee – Greater Charlotte asks that you send your child in a nice pair of khaki shorts or pants. A golf shirt and hat will be provided upon arrival at First Tee – Greater Charlotte. The logistics of this day will be very tight so please make note of the schedule listed above.
Space is limited to 45 participants. Participants must apply to get in using the application which can be found here. Finalists will be announced on Monday, April 24th. Deadline to apply is Wednesday, April 19th.

Succeeding Together

When:  Wednesday, May 3rd (4:00-5:30pm)
Where: Quail Hollow Club
Who: First Tee – Greater Charlotte participants (ages 5 & up) and one adult chaperone are invited to attend

Please Note:  Participants must have an adult chaperone attend with them.  If two or more participants are attending from the same family, only one chaperone may attend.

What: Participants are invited to attend a golf clinic on the driving range at Quail Hollow Club featuring PGA Tour Players. Transportation for First Tee – Greater Charlotte participants and one chaperone will be provided to and from the golf course. Buses will depart from the First Tee – Greater Charlotte Learning Center at Pineville at 2:30pm. Buses will depart Quail Hollow Club at 5:45pm following the clinic and return to the Learning Center at Pineville. The actual clinic takes place from 4pm-5:15pm.  Anyone who elects to meet us there must inform us in advance of their anticipated attendance. 
Participants should plan to wear a First Tee – Greater Charlotte golf shirt and hat to the event (if they have one).
